Description Marvin Double 2012-12-01 23:43:24 UTC
Running Libre Word on Ubuntu 12.4, The spell check worked and now has stopped working, I un-installed then re-installed the program assuming that some component had been corrupted. This did not resolve the problem. I then un-installed Libre Office Suite and re-installed it. This has also not resolved the problem.

The spell check does not work in auto mode or when text is highlighted and the spell check is run separately. I have tried placing the cursor at the beginning of the text and running the spell check as well as highlighting all the text and running the spell check independently. Neither of these methods work.

whops, wrong bug. going back NEEDINFO:

Which version of LibreOffice caused the trouble? Which spellchecker (and language) was used? What was changed around the time when this broke?

If writer opened as follows:

To me it looks like you don't have a dictionary installed. I suggest heading over to the user mailing list or ask.libreoffice.org to get the wider community to help

I am closing this as NOTABUG as I'm almost positive this is the issue. If you still experience the same problem after ensuring that you have all the required dictionaries installed, please set this bug back to UNCONFIRMED.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
