Description Rainer Bielefeld Retired 2013-03-05 11:01:03 UTC
Because of my suspect (I attached too many documents with wrong mime type "text/plain") I watched everythin very carefully when I created "Bug 61844 - Radio Buttons do not work" and definitely selected "Auto detect".
But nevertheless, Document became attached as "text/plain" instead of " application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.text"

I use Seamonkey 2.16 Browser from Win7

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 61020 ***
Comment 3 Rob Snelders 2013-03-07 22:09:15 UTC
As the bug wasn't entered with the BSA this problem looks like fdo#61020

Comment 7 Rainer Bielefeld Retired 2013-03-08 05:16:31 UTC
Well, it seems, only .odt is affected
Comment 8 Tollef Fog Heen 2013-04-14 19:15:53 UTC
Auto-detect is done client-side, afaik, so I don't think we can do anything about this.

Can you check what the headers that go with the upload says? They should include the content type.
Comment 9 Rainer Bielefeld Retired 2013-04-14 19:43:24 UTC
@Tollef Fog Heen:
I'm afraid I need a little help how to check that "headers", can you give me a hint?
Comment 10 Zoltán Hegedüs 2013-10-24 17:14:15 UTC
The selection maybe operate by extension. If the extension is ".odt", the correct type of the file is application/octet-stream.
By the way, if I file an error, I can not select the type of the attachment, so I must create the report without the attachment, and add the attachment posteriorly.

Comment 14 Rob Snelders 2013-10-24 18:16:09 UTC
I uploaded a spreadsheet now and got the message:

Note: Bugzilla automatically detected the content type application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.spreadsheet for this attachment. If this is incorrect, correct the value by editing the attachment's details.

Somehow solved?

i've hit this bug a few minutes ago:

.ods didn't work for me, uploaded a file and it was set to text/plain (which makes it show in webbrowser when downloading)...
Comment 18 spam 2014-08-19 13:31:26 UTC
what i did: created a new bug via

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=freedesktop.org

and added an attachment there. there is no posibility to set mime type.

when a bug report already exists, it seems fine.
