X can't start on BayTrail-M Platform. Kernel: 3.11-RC1 Xorg: 1.10 00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Intel Corporation Device [8086:0f00] (rev 06) 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Device [8086:0f31] (rev 06 Is there any solution to support it? What information need we provide? Thanks a lot!
As always start with dmesg and Xorg.0.log.
Created attachment 82850 [details] dmesg
Created attachment 82851 [details] xorg.0.log
dmesg and xorg.0.log created after run command "startx" boot with init 3 mode.
nomodeset.
But X can't start after we added the nomodeset to kernel parameter.
Exactly - nomodeset disables i915 kms, you will want to file a bug either against the vesa driver or the bios.
Eva, I'm curious why you want to add "nomodeset". Now my team got the same device, and we meet this issue even without "nomodeset". Guang, please file a bug to track it.

Guang, please file a bug to track it. In the email contacted with Eva, she just said they didn't enter to Desktop successfully all the time. And if then don't add nomodest, screen always is black even if init 3.But with that parameter, they can enter to init 3 mode, so they add it. On our testing, whether adding or removing this parameter, we all can booting with init 3 mode, but our X can't work all the time. I will file a new bug without "nomodeset" .
I just file a new bug:67452 to track our issue.
This bug occurs at eva's BayTrail with eDP port.On our bug#67452 , we get the issue with VGA port which is the only port can work on our sample now.
