Description Ioannis 2006-04-30 09:33:11 UTC
After compiling the latest version from CVS of the entire modular xorg, I have a
serious fonts problem. Text is not visible unless I move my cursor over it or
force refresh of the window. Happens in every application. Tested mostly with
gnome and few kde apps. Worth noting is that it doesn't happen with the Xglx
(Xgl) server.

I have an nvidia geforce 4200go and tested it both with the open source nv
drivers and the closed ones from nvidia (8178 and 8756). I use these
optimisation flags for building:
-O4 -march=pentium-m -mtune=pentium-m -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -ffast-math
-funroll-loops

and I use the latest CVS version of Mesa as well, which is again compiled with
the above flags.

See bug 6349

This problem seems to be nvidia close driver's bug.
