Gnome 2.6 build with jhbuild fails on shared-mime-info with the following error

../mkinstalldirs: ../mkinstalldirs: No such file or directory
make[1]: *** [install-data-yes] Error 127
make[1]: Leaving directory `/opt/cvs/gnome2/shared-mime-info/po'
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1

I had been using a work around for about 3 months now:
ln -sf $TRGT/share/automake-1.7/mkinstalldirs .

this creates a link to a valid "mkinstalldirs". However this needs to dealt with
and fixed. thanks.

Looks like it wants automake-1.7 instead of just running automake.  Should be
easy to fix, but I'm out of town now and can't commit to CVS.
