Several graphics OEMs have drivers for X that are either not open source, or are
open but not yet integrated into the tree.  Ideally we would have open drivers
for as many cards as possible, and the open components should all be in-tree.

Benefits of open drivers:

- Wider range of supported platforms
- Increased developer attention
- Better integration with Xorg
- Easier end-user setup
