Description CSJ 2010-06-10 04:22:23 UTC
I have this issue on Dell 6410.
and situation is the same with:
http://www.mail-archive.com/intel-gfx@lists.freedesktop.org/msg00381.html

and if I removed this patch, it is solved.
http://git390.marist.edu/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi?p=linux-2.6.git;a=commit;h=885a5fb5b120a5c7e0b3baad7b0feb5a89f76c18

After fixed this issue by remove above patch.
I have another issue:

If I add 1024x768 resolution by xrandr as below steps:
xrandr --newmode "1024x768_60.00" 64.11 1024 1080 1184 1344 768 769 772 795 -HSync +Vsync
xrandr --addmode DP1 1024x768_60.00
xrandr --output DP1 --mode 1024x768_60.00

I got black screen.
but system is still alive.

Let's track the first issue here. It seems the second issue has been tracked at bug#28579.

I fail to access http://www.mail-archive.com/intel-gfx@lists.freedesktop.org/msg00381.html. Can you give another url or paste the content here?

Thanks. I can access this. That issue has already been tracked at bug#28224, so I'm marking dup here.
