Description Sarah Close 2004-06-05 12:32:20 UTC
During the login sequence for root and normal users the X server displays an
error. The error reports X server version 60700000.

Output from "xprop -root|grep XKB" is:
_XKB_RULES_NAMES_BACKUP(STRING) = "xfree86", "pc105", "us", "", ""
_XKB_RULES_NAMES(STRING) = "xfree86", "pc105", "us", "", ""

Output from "gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/periphals/keyboard/xkb" is:
 layouts = [us]
 model = pc105
 overrideSettings = false
 options = []

in your xorg/old xfree86 configuration, change XkbRules line to "xorg", not the
old "xfree86"

this is the most reported bug i think, for xorg & xserver
